  Gabion mesh is divided into 2 kinds are woven gabion and WELDED GABION.  

    Gabion Baskets are one kinds of Hexagonal Wire Mesh Cage, Update products from Hexagonal Wire Mesh. It is galvanized steel, double twisted, woven wire mesh filled with stone and used for various applications including, but not limited to, retaining walls, slope paving, out fall structures, weirs, drop structures and stream bank protection.

    The gabion baskets are constructed using either 8×10 double twisted hexagonal woven steel wire mesh or welded wire mesh, adhering to the ASTM A975-97 Gabions standard. The steel wire utilized in crafting these gabions is of soft temper and is heavily coated with Galfan, a zinc-5% aluminum-mischmetal [Zn-5 Al-MM] alloy.

    The gabion mesh is composed of hexagonal wire netting, with wire diameter differing according to the hexagonal nettings. Wire diameter for hexagonal wire netting without PVC coating falls within the range of 2.0 mm to 4.0 mm. In the case of PVC-coated hexagonal wire netting, the outer diameter varies from 3.0 mm to 4.0 mm. The wire employed for the outer frame edge is one wire gauge thicker than that used for the hexagonal wire netting.

Gabion Materials Are the Following Four Types

  • Galvanized steel wire: low carbon steel wire, wire diameter 2.0 mm – 4.0 mm, wire tensile strength of not less than 380Mpa, hot dip galvanized steel to protect the surface, the thickness of the galvanized layer of protection according to customer requirements, plating the largest amount of zinc up to 300 g/m2.

  • Zinc – 5% (10%) of aluminum – mixed rare earth alloy steel wire, also known as Galfan steel wire, it is a new material emerging in recent years, corrosion resistance is three times more than traditional pure zinc, the wire diameter 1.0 mm – 3.0 mm, wire tensile strength of not less than 380Mpa.

  • Coated galvanized steel wire: high carbon steel wire, steel wire coated in a layer of PVC protective layer, and then woven into all kinds of wire mesh. This layer of PVC protective coating will greatly increase the protection of high pollution environment, and by the choice of different colors, so that it can and its surroundings.

  • Zinc – 5% (10%) of aluminum – mixed rare earth alloy coated steel: -5% in the zinc (10%) of aluminum – mixed rare earth alloy wire coated with a layer of PVC protective layer, and then woven into all kinds of hexagonal . This layer of PVC protective coating will greatly increase the protection of high pollution environment, and by the choice of different colors, so that it can and its surroundings.

By loading the gabion baskets directly into the container without additional packing, we can pass on the cost savings to our customers.

    Option Two: Plastic Film Wrapped and Loaded on Strong Steel Pallet While this option may have a slightly higher cost compared to bulk loading, it offers several advantages. The plastic film wrapping provides protection against rust and moisture, ensuring the gabion baskets arrive in optimal condition. Additionally, the robust steel pallet safeguards the gabion boxes from damage and simplifies loading with a forklift. This method also presents a neat and organized appearance.
